FAQ > Holiday Greeting > How do I create a holiday greeting key voice?
Typically, routing box 800 is used for the auto attendant but not always. So the first thing to determine is what routing box is being used for the auto attendant script. If you do not know what box the recordings are in, you will need to listen to what is currently recorded.
To listen to the current recording:
From any phone:
• Log into voicemail (press VOICEMAIL or press ICM + 33 or 333 or 3333)
• Press the # key to be transferred into voicemail
• Enter: 70 – mailbox number
• Enter: 70 – password
• Press 6 – Supervisor menu
• Press 2 – to change a routing box
• Enter the Routing Box number: 800
• Press 1 to confirm the number is correct
• Press 3 to modify the routing box
• Press 1 to change the greeting
• Press 1 to replay
• Enter * for the current greeting
(At this point, you will hear what is currently recorded. If hear the normal auto attendant greeting is heard, then this is the correct box. If not, then please call Taylored Systems, 317-776-4003, so we can determine what routing box will be needed to use).
If this is the correct box:
• Press 5 to choose a new greeting
• Enter greeting number 5 (the holiday greeting will be greeting #5)
• Press 2 to record the greeting
• Press # when finished
• Press 1 to replay
(At this point, the holiday greeting is now active. If this is being done ahead of time and you are not ready for the holiday greeting to play, then to change back to the regular greeting, press 5 to choose a new greeting and enter greeting 1. Now you are back to the regular greeting. When you are ready to have the holiday greeting (#5) play, you will need to go through these steps again to change the greeting to #5. When the holiday is over, you will need to go through these steps again to change back to greeting #1).
