At the end of 2014, the recession was a distant memory — and no place experienced that more keenly than Taylored’s hometown of Noblesville, Indiana. In fact, the city had more than bounced back. Between 2010 and 2015, Noblesville grew by 13%, blossoming into one of Indiana’s fastest-growing regions.

The city council realized they were experiencing one of those rare fertile periods of economic growth, one that could pay dividends in the future — as long as they were able to capitalize on it now. They needed to attract new businesses that would continue pumping the lifeblood into the local economy. And they needed to act now, while the iron was hot.

Unfortunately, the part of the city most ripe for development — an area known locally as Federal Hills — had a PR problem. The traditional boundaries of Noblesville’s downtown had always stopped just before the White River, just east of this promising pocket of land. Although a great deal of commercial building occurred on the western side of the city before the recession, new growth had begun to stall.

There was no easy way for pedestrians to get across the river to access the shops west of the water. It seemed like the city’s Federal Hills district was destined to remain forever isolated by the limitations of geography — unless the city could find a reason to get people there.

Community means different things to different people. But to us here at Taylored Systems, it often means giving back to our neighbors, no matter how small they may be! We think our Noblesville, Indiana, youth are pretty special, so when we heard that our local boys and girls club was building a new facility, we jumped at the opportunity to help.

This month, we were pleased to see the ribbon cut on a new facility for the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville — made possible with equipment and systems provided by Taylored. The new 33,900-square-foot Tom and Soni Sheehan Boys and Girls Club features five gymnasiums, a common area with foosball and air hockey tables, a cafetorium, a music room, a teen center, a kitchen, a strength-training room, a tech center, a library, a learning center, an art room and multiple classrooms. Outside, there’s a large green area for unstructured exercise, along with a playground and basketball courts. Basically, it has everything it needs to keep the club’s 2,200 members enriched and entertained!

What do you do when you need to secure your city’s huge new public aquatics center — and you need to do it all in less than 30 days?

For the City of Greenwood, Indiana, the answer was simple: call Taylored Systems. In just under a month, Taylored designed and installed a cutting-edge surveillance network, complete with top-tier equipment — all well before opening day.

Today, Freedom Springs is a bustling community center offering swim lessons, scuba classes, party rentals and public events, as well as pool and water slide access all summer long. But back in 2015, things were looking dire for park security until Taylored stepped in.

We used Taylored Systems to help us with the selection and installation of a video surveillance system. We had some special considerations in that we needed cameras at two different locations. Taylored was great to work with during the vendor selection and system scoping process.
